KoToR

Dirty??? No, not exactly. KoToR is an acronym for one of the best things I have ever experienced, and can say which played a big part on what my personality is now. KoToR thought me on patience, consequences of the choices one makes, and how no person is an island. And this insight applies in everyday life! If you were wondering what KoToR is, well its a game!

I remember playing this game, not once, but multiple times as a kid. And I still play it occasionally! Star Wars : Knights of The Old Republic is a Role Playing Game, or RPG. The game received critical acclaim upon release, with critics applauding the game's characters, story, and sound. It was nominated for numerous awards, and is considered one of the best games ever made. It made me a die hard star wars fan, and to this day I still am and always will be. The story of the game was so immersive, so vast, it just made me ponder of all the possibilities when you apply it to our world.

When Knights of The Old Republic II : The Sith Lords was released the very next year in 2005. This game was similar to its predecessor but featured more gray areas in that nothing is so black and white in this world. Some parts are grey and its hard to see if the choices you have made are the right ones. The thing is, in a game, you can always restart at a previous save point if you feel like you have made a wrong choice. We don't have such a privilege in the real world.

Two of my all time favorite characters which was featured in both games! On the right is HK-47. A modified protocol droid to assassinate force users. The left is THE ACTUAL KELBORN. A mandalorian advanced ranger, who was basically a force of nature to be reckoned with.

These two games broaden my mind in aspects of  choices. And that in the end, we are the masters of our own fate. Some might say it is just a game, and they are right. It was just a game. However, to my young self, it showed me that life isn't as simple as one would expect. Life can and will be hard, and it is up to us to overcome the challenges we face, and not be tempted to the dark side!!
